How many CEUs required for New York nurses?
New York Registered Nurses are required to complete at least 15 hours of continuing education units every 3 years.
Requirements specific to Registered Nurses in New York
- All nurses in New York must complete 3 contact hours in the area of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training or Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse
- If you are a New York Nurse and this is your first time applying for a license, you must complete 4 contact hours related to infection control training (this must be re-taken every 4 years)
- All nurses in New York must complete at least 3 contact in the area of pain management, palliative care, and/or addiction every three years.
